1. Using your phone without a blue light filter – start using it
Look, if you live in the 21st century, chances are you use a phone pretty regularly.
2. Drinking More Water
Duh, right? But let’s be real, most of us could do with an extra cup or two of water a day, especially if you’re in an office or just in an air-conditioned room a lot as it’s super drying!
3. Using your facial moisturizer on your eyes
This is more common than you think it is and you’re going to want a separate eye product just for your eyes. The skin on your eyes is actually really different from the rest of your face! It’s a lot thinner and correspondingly, eye creams or gels are formulated to be gentler and specifically not to leave an oily residue or cause millia seeds (which require lasers to remove).
4. Removing or Applying Eye Makeup incorrectly
Another duh moment, but the skin around your eyes are really delicate so please be gentle when you’re applying and especially when you’re removing makeup! Don’t start rubbing like you’re trying to remove a stain!
5. Rubbing your Eyes
As tempting as it might be, we always recommend NOT rubbing your eyes, just like your mom may have told you a million times. Rubbing your eyes actually causes little vessels around your eyes to break and leak blood which pools under the skin.
